 Registration for Spring 2020 Hawai'i High School Saxophone Ensemble The Hawaii Saxophone Foundation will hold auditions for the third annual Hawaii High School Saxophone Ensemble. Students will have the opportunity to work with Hawaii’s top saxophone music educators and professionals. Students will rehearse weekly in preparation for a concert with the University of Hawaii Saxophone Choir. Audition Date: December 15, 2019 at 10:00 am Audition Location: Moanalua Middle School Band Room. Auditions are open to all high school saxophonists with a minimum of 2 years experience. (Middle school saxophonists are eligible to audition upon recommendation of their band director or private instructor). Audition material will consist of:
Tuition fee for members is $75 dollars. There is a $10 dollar non-refundable audition fee. Students accepted into the program will have this fee applied to the cost of tuition. Students must provide instruments for participation (privately owned or from schools). Students may be asked to double on other saxophones. Participants are required to attend weekly rehearsals in preparation for concert activities. Attendance is mandatory. Absences will be excused only for illness or family emergency. Missing 2 or more rehearsals will be grounds for expulsion.
